I’ve grown up through life enjoying being constantly busy. So much so that, when I have free time, I am always looking for something to fill it. I find it really difficult to chill and relax, and soon as I do, I’m already starting to think about what I can do instead to keep myself busy. Although I feel that I’m busy, generally, a lot of this time is actually filled scrolling through my phone, thinking negative thoughts, or just generally doing something that isn’t going to make much of an impact for me.
This week I listened to a brilliant podcast on Spotify called ‘The Science of Success’. They had a speaker on one of the podcasts, talking about reclaiming your time and taking control of your life.
This got me thinking about how I use my time and whether I use it well. I think I probably don’t; how about you?
We only have 24 hours in a day, or if you prefer, 168 hours in a week. That seems a lot when you look at it in front of you on a page, however when you’re living it, and going about your daily business – working, washing, cooking, watching TV, working out, meeting friends, scrolling Instagram, this time seems to run away with you without you even realising it!
