Welcome to Sunday Soul
A couple of months ago on a Sunday evening, I sat on my bed trying to think of a good blog post to get started. I took to scrolling through Google, Instagram and Pinterest, but without finding what I was looking for, I still felt a little scared and confused how to start. With that, I shut the laptop down and told myself, when the time is right it will happen!
Sunday is a funny day, don’t you think. You’ve looked forward to the weekend, looked forward to opening a bottle of Prosecco or beer on a Friday evening and have great plans for Saturday. But Sunday, Sunday seems to fill you with that little feeling knowing that Monday is just around the corner.
Reflecting, I found a suitable quote (everyone who knows me knows how much I love a quote) and popped it on my Instagram story.
At the time I didn’t think anything of it. However, as the hours went by more people began messaging me back from the post saying, ‘I really needed this tonight, thanks’ and ‘this was exactly what I needed to read this evening’. This got me thinking….. What if my blog consisted of helpful little hints and tips that have helped me in the past, either to get through the week, make me smile or generally helped my wellbeing? People sometimes need that little reminder or a helping hand and that’s what I’m here to do.
So that is my plan! Every Sunday morning, come rain or shine, my blog will be there to add a little something to your Sunday, or the week ahead; be it a mindfulness exercise, support for your mental or physical well being, or just a little pick me up.
I am an avid ‘Friends’ watcher, yoga/dance teacher, fitness lover, mindfulness practitioner in training and positive person.
I hope these blogs help, if only for five minutes or a lifetime.
